Not surprisingly, “the Volkswagen case” is growing: the manufacturer will recall 2.4 million vehicles with its famous spyware.
Volkswagen brand’s troubles continue and intensify: the German manufacturer was forced by the local regulatory authority in the automotive sector (KBA) to recall 2.4 million vehicles in Germany.
All the vehicles concerned therefore boarded the famous cheat software that can trigger an internal mechanism for limiting the emission of polluting gases. Volkswagen had, however, proposed that owners can report on a voluntary basis, the cars at their dealership. But this option was rejected by the German auto safety authority (KBA).
All cars equipped with the software must therefore necessarily pass workshop as decided by the KBA “orders” recall of cars. While it seems logical that the manufacturer will have to uninstall the software, however, is not (yet) clearly stipulated by the KBA.
Recall that in the world, no less than 11 million vehicles are concerned. Moreover, the KBA and other European regulatory authorities must present Thursday at the European Commission’s conclusions on their respective investigations.
Note also that the US authorities for their work on other software that is designed to equip diesel cars planned for marketing in 2016. In short, the black series continues for the German manufacturer.
