Nuance Communications has published a report on the productivity of European SMEs highlighting the main obstacles to productivity. And it turns out that the obligation to create and manage text documents in writing reports, contracts, funding applications, quotes, responses to calls for tenders or marketing materials, is one.
The problem is that 41% of SMEs do not have time to devote to the study of solutions that improve efficiency. They are therefore unaware that the use of voice recognition software and PDF software, for example, would allow them to save time and boost productivity.
Many SMEs and retain creative and management processes their obsolete paper hanging over their effectiveness and prove time consuming.
The study also shows that if the deployment of voice recognition software can clearly help SMEs in this area, they are only 6% in France to use them.
In addition, 29% of SMEs have chosen a new document management software, do not perform comparative study of the editors of upstream solutions. They deprive themselves of competitive solutions.
In the end, 38% of SMEs spend 2 hours a day to work on documents and 9% of French SMEs spend more than 5 hours a day. And this is even more true in certain professions, such as law firms.
