Do not be fooled by the apparent simplicity of the interface (English) or the fairly minimalist website of the editor: this is a truly comprehensive tool, which is full of opportunities and options. FastStone Photo Resizer can do all sorts of things with images, not only of the size reduction. Although a priori, given the name of the software is its first function (it provides very good).
So, by clicking on the right and left in the Batch Convert tab to validate a particular setting, you discover that you can also convert images to PDF, resize, rotate, reverse or correct images, or add watermarks. All this individually or by batch, as with the other functional for software, renaming, which runs in Batch Rename tab.

PhotoLine
PhotoLine is more than image resizing tool, weight lightening photos and / or conversion formats. But he does it so simply (and efficiently) that deserves to be included in this selection. This is a paid software (about 60 euros) and its demo version is valid for 30 days.
Run the software, click the File menu and click Functions and convert to batch, and it is almost finished. In the window that appears, first select the source folder, files to take into account the size (eg JPEG images), and if one wants to include subfolders. Optionally, additional action can be selected (besides the work on the format) as the scale conversion or applying a special effect.

Konvertor
Konvertor is now a free software (freeware), after paying for a time. This is a general format conversion tool, not only focused on the image conversions but rich in the matter, as it recognizes more than 2,000 graphics and photo formats.
The software interface is neat, French, and with a Microsoft Office look (ribbon, buttons, etc.) rather successful. The presentation by panels and tabs is effective to control the selections.
There is, besides the conversion tools, an image viewer that allows a few alterations. There is a bit of everything, and is fun to explore the different settings available. In short, to try.
