INTERVIEW – “It is surprising that Francois Hollande declares state of emergency against unemployment now,” four years after the start of his five-year, Alain Juppe said Tuesday on Europe 1 . According to the candidate for the primary right and center for 2017, the statements of the Head of State on the matter on Thursday when his wishes are “announcement effects”. “We must completely change software. The real problem is to create jobs. The state must provide businesses up and running,” said the mayor of Bordeaux. Francois Hollande has repeatedly announced that unemployment was a priority for the last year of his five-year term. He also wants to launch a major 500,000 additional unemployed training plan.

Reforming the labor code. To encourage hiring, Alain Juppe wants to include in labor contracts their conditions breaking. He wants to fix “fix in the law” in which cases the companies in financial difficulties may dismiss their employees. It is however forbidden to want to end the CDI. The current conditions of dismissal “is a lock [hiring], all the business leaders say,” was it justified.

The mayor of Bordeaux is also in favor of a reform of the labor code. His credo: to simplify it and make it more flexible to facilitate contract negotiations. He prefers to move towards negotiations in companies, between employees and employers, rather than the rules set in stone and the law. Prime Minister Manuel Valls announced November 4 an overhaul of the labor code, to be completed in 2018.
