FM Logistic Kewill Acquires Software – Logistics Strategies

The Kewill Logistics software was selected to manage the transport of 90% of FM Logistic Network, replacing a local transportation management system. This is for the provider to optimize the in-house connections but also with its partners to achieve greater operational efficiency. Kewill Logistics solution has been integrated financial systems FM Logistic and optimization tools such as embedded computing and scheduling software and planning for direct processing of operational data.
The orders will be processed automatically and, from order to payment of the invoice and performance will be followed in key indicators of performance. The deployment of the solution will also allow forward to double the number of users in the group and share k ey data on the supply chain. Shipments and capacity data, rates and schedules will now be visible in real time.
The new TMS will improve the accuracy of reporting on areas such as cross docking, CO2 measurements and the selection and management of carriers. “ Our ambition at FM Logistic is to increase our turnover transport significantly in the years ahead ,” said Eric Siebering, director of the IT department TMS and SCM at FM Logistic wishing a uniform transport solution in Europe and simplify its integration into the information system. “ We look forward to working with this group more closely when extending the solution to the world ,” said Jean-Paul Boos, vice president in charge of EMEA at Kewill.
