Pierre Bourdu and Clement Dornier met in post-bin, on the benches of the preparatory class Diploma Accounting Management. After both completed a double degree in Accounting Management and Wealth Management, today they are preparing the Diploma Chartered Accountant.
Where did the idea? What was the initial observation?
Working in both accounting firm, we use software to most aging. We and our clients, are often slowed by worn processes. In addition, we have seen that companies rejected the update of their accounting and commercial software, in order to save or lack of novelty. A dangerous attitude in a context where the rules are imposed their change regularly. We subscribe to a perspective of renewal, and want to provide simple and effective tools in accordance with the regulations in force.
Can you introduce your tool?
Qrea is SaaS software to SOHO / SME. We have just opened registration for the beta to the public. It offers all the features of a traditional billing software, while being completely free. Our accounting experience has allowed us to refine some details, as the company’s dashboard. On the latter, the entrepreneur finds monitor its turnover, track customer payments, trade receivables ventilation and finally monitoring the VAT collected.
Who are your main competitors currently on the market?
There are many billing software of varying quality. However, to our knowledge, none offers the ability to manage one or more undertakings unlimited number of invoices created, entirely free. Our approach is different from traditional management software vendors. We now offer a platform of free features that will allow us tomorrow to bring our accounting and financial experience in high value-added services.
What is your business model?
We just launched in beta Qrea. The entirety of the features are free. In a second step we will add features with higher added value, which will form part of a premium subscription.
Financial news?
To date, we have self-financed the project. We actively yet preparing for the next step.
What are the other tools you use every day?
We use Slack and Google Apps for communication inside and outside the company, and Trello for project management.
