EchoNavigator: 3D software for heart operations … – Clubic

The Toulouse University Hospital performed three operations on children with heart malformations, closed heart, with the help of a 3D visualization software. A first in Europe.

The first little patients to have benefited from this technique are two girls, 5 and 9 years and a boy 6 years. The procedure was successful in every situation. “ There are only 72 hours of hospitalization and the child leaves no scar ” said the surgeon. Forty EchoNavigator using new operations are planned in the coming weeks.
