The revelations of Edward Snowden are there to remind us. We were to the eye, even if we do not always know how and by whom. And among all the anti-monitoring solutions that have recently developed, there are now Detekt.

It was developed by the German Claudio Guarnieri, with contributions from partners such as Amnesty International or EFF.

“Detekt is a free tool that scans your Windows computer to detect traces of known spyware, used to target and monitor the defenders of human rights and journalists worldwide “, it said in the description of the software.

In essence, Detekt tell you after a scan if someone (eg NSA) spying on you through your computer via malware.

So if you have reason to think that Big Brother (or someone else) you spy, you can download Detekt this link, where you will find also instructions.

If Detekt found questionable items on your machine, one must stop and make a great household (a service that is not provided by the software.)

However, if it does not find anything, it will not want to say so that your PC is clean. They point well:

“Some spyware will likely be updated in response to the publication of Detekt to avoid detection. In addition, there may be existing versions of spyware [...] which are not detected by this tool. “

As many experts you say, never trust 100% software. But by combining a number of good practices, you expose yourself less. Below, a few articles on the same subject:
