F-Secure updates its VPN software for Apple Watch – LeMondeInformatique

The VPN Freedome F-Secure enables users to control the application dedicated to the privacy of their data from the Apple Watch .

The security solutions provider F-Secure today announced the availability of Freedome, its VPN software (Virtual Private Network) for Apple Watch. IPhone users who broke their piggy banks to afford the watch connected Apple will be able to control and monitor their VPN from their wrist without exposing their data to the risks of unsecured WiFi connections on their iPhone. They will also be informed of the number of tracking attempts blocked by the software. Janne Pirttilahti, director Next Gen Security at F-Secure, said in a statement that the new connected devices, such as Watch, transform usage patterns, which sometimes leads to expose their personal data.

Equipped with a single button on /! Off, Freedome offers users to encrypt their communications and modify their virtual location to access géobloqués sites and services. The application also blocks malicious sites and online tracking attempts. It is currently available for devices running iOS, Android, Windows and OS X, as well as the Amazon Fire.
