The free software movement is campaigning for the free software user is a free user. Free does not mean free, confusion is widespread. What is Free Software? Before entering an exact definition, it should be explained that free software is software whose source code is available. But what is this interesting since each citizen is not a computer. – the freedom to redistribute copies to help others (freedom 2);
– the freedom to improve the program and make public its improvements for the whole community benefits (freedom 3) – is a prerequisite to access the source code.
The most common operating system such as Windows, OS X (Apple) and Android are not free, they are proprietary software. The GNU / Linux system is completely free, Linux is the operating system kernel. It does not take a computer expert to adopt such a system, distributions such as Ubuntu installs alone on your PC!
