The software developed in Switzerland used by investigators, able to analyze thousands of very quickly accounts, “research in particular to multiple accounts holders” , the source said. The program reports the names of persons on an account without being the primary cardholder. A similar version is also used by the German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
“It can very quickly analyze thousands of accounts and report any suspicious transaction” is said the source who wished to remain anonymous because of the sensitive nature of Blatter, Platini case.
The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee of FIFA has suspended Monday for eight years its president Sepp Blatter and Vice President Michel Platini any activity related to football because of a controversial payment of EUR 1.8 million made in 2011. According to the two leaders, the payment represents payment of a counselor of work done by the UEFA president to FIFA from 1999 to 2002.
Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini had explained that an oral contract for one million Swiss francs per year had been reached, but that the total salary had not been paid.
The court of the ethics committee stated in its judgment that the payments had “no legal basis” and the two officials were guilty of “position abuse” their positions within FIFA.
Former US Attorney Michael Garcia had investigated allocation Worldwide in 2018 in Russia and 2022 in Qatar. But the payment of EUR 1.8 million was not included in the report and Mr. Garcia was spotted later by the software, said the source close to Fifa.
Payment is subject to Swiss prosecutors investigated, which could delay the publication of the Garcia report.
