Description . Many people consider Microsoft and open source software as a contradiction in terms. However, in recent years Microsoft has gone through a major transition and became a strong supporter of open source. Whether by offering software as open source or using the libraries or free utilities within internal development teams, there are already several examples. In this lecture, we will go in the past, the present and the future of open source at Microsoft and the impact it can have on the developer community.
